Defence Team

Boggs Levin is a Law Firm that practices exclusively Criminal Law. We do criminal defence work only. We do not prosecute. We do not sue anyone. We do not do corporate, commercial, contracts or real estate work.

Our criminal defence law firm was formed in 1998 by Raymond Boggs and Rita Levin. It has grown consistently since then to become one of the more prominent criminal law firms, in the Greater Toronto area.

Mr. Boggs is a University of Windsor alumni with a Bachelor of Arts and Master Degree in Philosophy. In 1996 he was awarded a degree of Bachelor of Laws.

Ms. Levin has a Bachelor of Arts Degree awarded by York University. She was awarded a Bachelor of Laws, by the University of Windsor in 1996. Ms. Levin is also fluent in Russian and Hebrew in addition to English.

Over the years we have added staff, including Vladimir Pavlov, a trained paralegal and legal assistant, who after working with several law firms in the United States and Canada, settled in at Boggs Levin in 2001. Mr. Pavlov is also fluent in English and Russian.

In 2005 Bradley Pearson joined the firm, after completing his articles here the previous year. Mr. Pearson obtained his Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto in 2000. He followed up this degree with a Bachelor of Laws awarded by Dalhousie University, in 2003.

At Boggs Levin, our criminal defence lawyers have the staff and resources to attend to your case in the detail and care necessary to not only achieve an excellent result but also put you at ease with regard to your case. We are able to keep you informed, so that you know what is happening and what will happen with your case. We can also attend court for you so that you don't have to miss work or school. This kind of attention is quite often not possible with a smaller or one man firm.

Having sufficient resources also helps allow us to have an extremely high rate of success. Most of our cases do not make it to trial. Good and thorough preparation means that the crown will withdraw the case more often, a better deal can be struck, or if the case does go to trial, we are more likely to win.

Fees

Our fees are based on the type of case that you have. Having done thousands of cases, we know how long yours is likely to take and how much it will cost.

We will ask you a number of questions to determine the nature and complexity of your case and we will give you a quote, for a Superior Court matter or for a Court of Justice matter. We will put the block fee in writing before you sign your retainer agreement.

You won't have to guess at the costs. We can work out a payment plan. You can pay by Visa, MasterCard, Debit Card, Bank draft, Money Order or Cash, you will get a receipt.
